PLAIN TEXT APP – a Great Productivity Tool

     to use with Dropbox for  FREE !!!

Dropbox has many fans for good reason. If you haven’t already tried it we urge you to do so and you can try it out for FREE with no strings attached ( See previous post on dropbox by clicking here). The bottom line with Dropbox is that it is a perfect tool for accessing your important files on the move because you can access your files from every machine that you own be it a PC, Mac or indeed iPhone/ iPad. Once you have Wi-Fi or  an Internet  connection any work you do on any files in your Dropbox folder on any PC or iPhone etc is synced with the dropbox server ( saved and backed up) and thereafter automatically downloaded to all of the Dropbox folders on all of your machines – when on- or turned on. In short your important stuff is backed up in the cloud and always accessible both there and on all of your PCs etc. POWERFUL STUFF INDEED – do it justice and try it out if you are new to the idea because it is THAT GOOD and we have no intention of promoting rubbish to our readers.

Existing Fans and Users of Dropbox who own either an iPhone or an iPad and work on the go should also acquire the FREE !!!!  PLAIN TEXT APP from the iTunes store. Your Apple Product can do more than just play Games !! .

We find Plaintext to be a very useful productivity tool for your iPhone or iPad when out and about either at home or abroad because it Syncs automatically with your Dropbox account. Plaintext is a simple text editor that looks like a less glamorous version of Notes but the beauty of Plaintext is that when you install it on your Iphone or iPad and link to your dropbox account – it creates a Plaintext Folder in your Dropbox folder – and any notes that you thereafter make in Plaintext on your iPhone or iPad are not only stored on your iPhone or iPad  but also in Dropbox.

Imagine that you are out and about – at the airport, in your car, on the train or where ever, You get an important phone call and instead of scrambling for a scrap of paper of what you have to do or whatever in Plaintext on your iPhone or iPad and when you return to your office at your desktop- in peace and quiet- in the Dropbox folder you have a list of all those important things to do if they are not done. You have a brainwave or business idea or something to research, but you are on the move and busy, just take a note in Plaintext – its automatically Saved in Dropbox for you to deal with later.

To further help you keep organised, when you have dealt with your task or reminder you can simply delete the note or reminder on your iPhone or iPad and it is automatically deleted also in Dropbox. COOL !!

As with most useful Apps – seeing is actually believing – so we would urge you to try Plaintext out – ITS FREE Remember !!

      Just downloaded Drop Box last night. Son’t know how to use it yet but it is on my list. I wonder if it will work with my Android. I don’t have an iPhone and probably will never buy one or any Apple product since I think they are over priced. Anyway, keep up the great info on new technology.

      I discovered Dropbox while taking a course in teaching Online. I’m a devotee now; it is so very convenient to save my files at home and then be able to access them anywhere and everywhere.

      I wanted to share 3 additional ways to use Dropbox via URL supplied to me and my classmates:
      * Locating files
      * Permanently deleting files
      * Automatically moving files
