The Right Android Browser Matters ??? When you Work On The Go.

In my humble opinion one of the better features of an Android Tablet over an iPad is the browsing experience !!!

I have tried a number of Browsers folks and Suggest you check out Firefox…my current favourite. However it may be replaced because Android users who have Ice  Cream Sandwich ( or due an upgrade) now can use Google Chrome on their mobile device.

For those who do not have ice cream sandwich…check out Firefox

1.    Owners of Android devices currently running Ice Cream Sandwich, are in Luck !!!

Because Chrome just landed on Android.

It’s faster.

It syncs everything (provided you want it to). Link your Chrome mobile app to your Google account

Great system for jumping between tabs..

Tells  how many tabs you currently have open, pulls up a ‘stack’ of your open tabs that you can slide around to get a better look at the tab’s content before you actually open it.

Launches a neat magnifying pane for links.

2.    If you have an older Android device, check out Firefox for Android, which can do many of the same things).

Iintegrates Firefox Sync and makes it easy to access your browsing history, open tabs, bookmarks and saved passwords across desktop and mobile devices so you can type less and browse more.

Tabs appear as thumbnails in the left panel so you can quickly switch between them while still viewing full websites on the right. You can swipe to the left to hide tabs for a full screen view.

Firefox optimizes your Web experience for both portrait and widescreen mode. In portrait mode, tabs are listed in a top left menu and easily hide when you don’t need them, allowing you to focus on the websites you visit.

      Hi Rosemary,
I never liked browsing the internet thru a tablet or a smartphone since the usability is not the same compared to a pc. Anyway anything that makes the whole browsing experience easier is welcomed, thanks for sharing…

      Hi Rosie,
As usual, short, sweet, easy to understand and put to use. I am trying to move my husband (we are so technology challenged) from a PC to an iPad. The phone comes next. I’ll bookmark this page for future use. Thanks for these tips.

Hi Rosie. Choosing the right apps to your Smartphone or any technology involves android. Many people are being dependent on Internet nowadays; even oldies know to browse online. I think, sometimes technology do not have good influence to our lifestyle. Thanks for sharing.

Many thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes finding the right apps can make such a difference for your smart phone. I have to agree , so many people are taking less exercise due to gadgets and also when you are with people in the offline they are attached to gadgets and can miss opportunities that people in person can share. But at the same time I really like the way technology makes helps me to be organised etc. Take care Rosemary
