Swiftkey Tablet X for Android Tablets– A Must Have for Typing???
While Working On The Go

We recently purchased an Android tablet folks and so far we have been quite impressed when compared to our iPad. We are not suggesting for a moment that the iPad is not brilliant a brilliant device because it is and it will still remain the number one choice for many. Apart from messing around through iTunes, we believe the iPad is overall simpler to use for many but for others who have basic but respectable computer skills an Android tablet can offer a lot and is just the job for others.

What impresses us most about our Android tablet—– Bottom Line—-. Is the wider screen which makes working on the web and browsing on the move in our opinion much more enjoyable and productive than on our iPad. You can see a full webpage without the  need to scroll and pinch as we have had to do regularly in the past on our iPad.

We have written a number of posts about using wireless keyboards to make working on the move more productive with an iPhone or an iPad. However we all know that on occasion you will simply travel with your device and as little accessories as possible, either through choice or forgetfulness.

Shortly after purchasing our Acer. Iconia Honeycomb tablet it was our good luck to come across this app…..The Swiftkey Tablet X for android tablets. For the sake of five dollars…. BUY IT– because in those circumstances where you wish to work with no more than your device itself on the go it will very much pay for itself in no time believe us. We have no commercial association with the manufacturer…..and Underneath you will see the  manufacturers description and the manufacturers video which gives a pretty good overall indication as to the use of this app.It is really Good in Practice !!!! The Prediction is pretty impressive !!!

Manufacturers Description

      Hey Rosemary,

I am yet to buy a tablet but as an Andorid user, I do think an Android tablet is what I will plump for. This looks like one heck of a find and looks really effective.

Thanks for sharing this app, great find.

      Beth 🙂

nice tip Rosemary the cost of this application is very affordable and if I understand well we only need to download this app from any android tablet, correct?
I am looking for an intuitive app that edits grammar and syntax have you heard of such an app, or is it included in the one you are describing here?

      Thanks and see you soon;)

The Swiftkey app is available from the Android Market- its not a spellchecker- but i love it because i can use my 2 thumbs easily to type- email replies etc in particular- and the app has fantastic text prediction that seems to get better all the time – not suggesting you would write a 2 page doc with it …but for shorter stuff its excellent

I use SlideIT keyboard on my android and adore it. Went from hating the touch screen keyboard to finding it useable. I know swift key has a great product though to and they have a split screen, thumb typing option that I think tablets really need. Definitely a good little piece of software.
